The hybrid embryos between G. tomentella and G. max cv. Ulsan were cultured in vitro, and hybrid plantlets were successfully obtained. The hybrid embryos cultured on various media supplemented with growth regulators showed the different growth responses, respectively. On B5 medium supplemented with 0.1mg/l IBA (indole butyric acid), embryos were matured, but profuse callusing would be occured. When the hybrid embryos matured on each medium were transferred on B5 medium supplemented with 0.1mg/l IBA + 0,25mg/l 2-ip (2-isopentenyladenine), the embryos were germinated from ovules, and hybrid plantlets were obtained from germinated embryos when subcultured on B5 medium for two weeks. These hybrid plantlets suggest that wild perennial Glycine species would be possible to breed the perennial soybean crops. |
